Vice President Michael Grundei: "Of course we want to continue working with "Hoffi". We are absolutely convinced by him and think it's great how he works with the young players and has moulded them into a team together with the experienced players. We want to continue to work together on the team's success in the future, and Martin is an important, if not the most important building block for this."
Hoffmann himself was 'grateful for the trust' and "proud to be able to continue on my path at HCL. The early contract extension is a sign of appreciation for me, but also an incentive for my future work." The past season had 'highs and lows, but we learnt from them and grew as a team.'
After a bumpy start to the season, the Riverkings were initially at the bottom of the table, but worked their way up to the play-offs with outstanding performances, where they only lost in the seventh game against Erding, who were later promoted to the Oberliga.
